The blue hat was given to me by my Awesome Aunt Lizzie. And i just wanted to say thanks for making it for me. The really cool thing is that every time i have worn it at least one person has complemented me about the hat. They always say things like "its so beautiful" and "The colors are so bright and cheery" i love this hat! Now whenever i see the color blue i think of my Aunt Lizzie!

Taylor Swift

Me and my family were out eating pizza and my dad gave us a piece of paper on it. He said their was a riddle. When we opened it it said "What has eight legs and on the longest day of the year is in a box" well my sister Paige finally got it. The answer was Taylor Swift tickets to her concert this summer get it? Her concert is on the longest day of the year our tickets are box seats and their are going to be eight legs! (me my dad and two of my sisters) we were so excited. Especially me because Taylor Swift is my favorite singer EVER!!!!!!!! she is the best. So now im counting the days until her concert!

Me and my family were on our way to talk to this guy about starting our barn. My parents went in and after about an hour or so they came back out. We started talking about the barn and my om says yea but the bad news is they arent going to start until a month. Then when we were just about home my mom said just kidding their coming tomorrow! When they came it was so exciting and now its only been 6 days and they are more than halfway done its so exciting! We also got baby chicks and they have been in our basement for about three days. their so cute i got this little gray one but the day after i got it. It died apparently it had a sickness or something it was so cute. So now im going to go and get another one hopefully a more healthier one. Can't wait to get a goat!

Skate Land

i was at skate land with my friend and then after a while she left. Me and my sister were in the bounce house and this boy comes up and says

1. that's my cousin.
2. oh cool (why are you talking to me?)
1. My cousin says you have a boyfriend.
2.No i say (im eleven years old thats just weird)
1. oh. he says he likes you and he wants your number would you give it to him if he asked you?
2. no! (are you crazy hello! i don't even know you)
I keep going in the bounce house im climbing up the ladder when ihear the boy i was just talking to say ask her that the cousin says.... the cousins number 1 im number 2

2. eleven
1. oh dangit im not dating you
i slide down the slide than the cousin says...
will you go out with me im in fifth grade( he said this in a desperate sort of tone)
than i say No way! (im leaving this is is just weird)

Sugar Cookies

Have you ever wondered how to make those store bought sugar cookies well i just got this recipe online i tried it it was really good. Here it is.

Store bought Sugar Cookies
1 Cup Crisco
1 Cup Sugar

1 Egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. Other flavor (if desired)

1 cup Whipping Cream

1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
About 5 cups Flour

I make mine in my Kitchen Aid Mixer. A hand mixer will work for the first part of the recipe.
Cream together the sugar and Crisco really well- run the mixer for a good 7-10 minutes. Add the egg, vanilla and mix for another minute or two. Add the whipping cream and beat the mixture until it becomes fluffy- I went for another 3-5 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients. Change your mixer attachment from the whisk to the paddle and get all the dry ingredients incorporated. The dough will not be as thick as regular cookie dough. I've generally gone with 5 cups of flour but you may need a little more or less.

Drop by the spoonful on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper then roll into balls. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-9 minutes. You do NOT want the edges to brown. Then transferred the whole sheet of parchment to the counter.

Leave the cookies alone until they cool or they will crumble. The cookies actually taste BETTER the next day so try and wait to frost them until the following day.

To store, place in a plastic container or zipper bag.
Yields about 24 cookies.

Dream Whip Buttercream Frosting

1 cup Crisco

1 cup salted butter

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 cup water

2 lbs. confectioner's sugar

1 pkg. Dream Whip

2 Tbsp. meringue powder

1/2 tsp. almond extract

1 tsp. vanilla

1 tsp. clear butter flavor

Beat Crisco and butter until smooth and blended. Dissolve salt in water and add extracts to the water. Add the meringue powder to the Dream Whip, mix well, then add to it and the confectioners sugar to the Crisco/butter mix. Carefully beat in dry ingredients then mix on medium-high until the frosting is light and fluffy.

I have been saving for camp. So far i have $150 saved up for camp. I go to my grandmas and clean every other week and sometimes every week. My cousin Hannah Roof takes gymnastics and me and my sister went to one of her meets it was realy cool well i have to get ready for bed (Moms orders) bye

New Years Resolution

My new years resolution is to post more on my blog like every day and i want do start doing gymnastic exercises because i want to take lessons i also want to post things like recipes and stuff like that hopefully i can stick it. this will be fun im going to get a shot in a couple of weeks hopefully after the whole fainting incident i wont be affected by the shot ive been saving up for camp so hopefully ill have enough by this summer i want to learn french its just so beautiful well at least at my perspective and ballet i want to have the tip shoes or whatever i cant believe spring is almost sort of not near lol!!! just pursue your dreams (and school) and you can do almost anything

I fainted for the first time in my life it all started out like this...............
We were on our way to the doctors office to see if they schedule in an appointment for Maddie to get her blood drawn and they said that they could take her in now and my mom said that me and Paige had to stay in the car and whatch CJ in the the we both wanted to come but mom said no but by the time everyone had gotten out of the van CJ woke up so my we were allowed to come in. The doctor took us into a room and they stuck the needle in Maddie's arm and i said ouch very quietly to myself and then i saw the tube of blood and i got light headed i started to head outside of the room but i couldn't see the door and i got all wobbly and all i remember is hearing the music from the radio that was playing and dreaming some sort of dream and then waking up to my mom saying Shannon, Shannon , wake up honey. She pulled me over to a couch and she told me that i had only been out for a second and that i bumped my head on the wall and fell down on the ground with my eyes still open and i was shaking on the ground mom thought that i was having a seizure. At first when my mom woke me up i had no idea were i was and i wished mom would've just left me asleep. Well thats all thank for reading this bye.
